You are being asked to take a survey for research on the experiences of college and university students who visit public spaces to study or do their work. We are specifically interested in the aspects of social presence that support work behaviors and satisfaction. This information will be used to develop design prototypes with the goal of enhancing features related to co-presence in digital spaces. Your participation is voluntary.
This survey will take 5 minutes to complete.
To take this survey, you must be:
● At least 18 years old
● Currently in the United States (if you are in an EU country, you cannot participate in this study)
This research will help us generate ideas for designing digital spaces and ultimately improve the quality of life of students during their time in higher education. This survey will take approximately five minutes to complete. During the survey, we will not be collecting any data that can identify you personally. After collection, the data will be stored on a Georgia Tech secure server and if the research is reported, we will only use aggregate data and statistics, your individual response will be anonymous.
The risks involved are no greater than those involved in daily activities. You will not benefit or be compensated for joining this study. We will comply with any applicable laws and regulations regarding confidentiality. To make sure that this research is being carried out in the proper way, the Georgia Institute of Technology IRB may review study records. The Office of Human Research Protections may also look at study records.
