Study Title: Building a Immersive Tool to Support English Language Arts in Middle School (6-8 Grades)

You are being invited to participate as a volunteer in a research study conducted as part of a Georgia Tech Master’s Project. This study is led by a team of graduate students aiming to develop an immersive/game-based tool designed to support English Language Arts (ELA) learning for middle school students. 

This survey will ask questions related to your experience teaching ELA, the tools and strategies you currently use to support reading comprehension and the use of metacognitive strategies. It should take approximately 5-15 minutes to complete.

Please note that your IP address will be recorded; however, this information will be stored on a secure server and deleted prior to data analysis. Your responses will be aggregated with others for analysis, ensuring confidentiality. The risks involved in this study are minimal and no greater than those encountered in daily activities. While there is no direct benefit or compensation for participating in this survey, your insights will help shape the design of an educational tool aimed at supporting middle school ELA learners. There will be an option to leave your contact information at the end of the survey if you would like to receive updates on the tool's development. If you choose to provide your contact information, it will be stored separately from your survey responses.

Participation is voluntary, and you must be 18 years or older and currently located in the United States to participate. This study has been reviewed by the Georgia Institute of Technology’s Institutional Review Board (IRB), and the Office of Human Research Protections may also review study records.
